Christmas 2015

Another great Christmas. Jasmine got a lot of accessories for her guitar including a stand and a whole lot of pics. She also got a light up mirror for her vanity.

As usual the cats were quite helpful. Penny made a great attempt helping Jeff unwrap his presents and he got exactly what he wanted for Christmas lots and lots of chocolate.

We ended the day at our friend Beth and Tony’s house celebrating Christmas with their family.

Retro Holiday Party

With Christmas decor, I tend towards the Dickens meets Renaissance style with lots of trim and gold beads and deep colors. I decided to go in a different direction this year, with mid century as my inspiration. I then decided that a mid-century cocktail party was the only way to truly embrace the new look. Everyone dressed for the occasion, and had fun mixing martinis. Look closely and you will see the Dean Martin and Rosemary Clooney albums nestled by the hearth.

The tree turned out amazing, with Jasmine putting all the red balls on it. It may become a standard in our house.

Stop by for some retro food and fun!

Enjoy alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the past as well as those refined cocktail hour foods our grandparent enjoyed—cocktail wieners, shrimp cocktail, and more!

Come dressed in your favorite Mad Men inspired costume! White elephant presents will be exchanged so bring something hideous wrapped in even more hideous paper!

Kids are absolutely encouraged. We’ll have fun indoor and outdoor activities planned. Even if there is no snow.

Lunch with Destiny

Jasmine took Destiny, her little sister, to Johns Incredible Pizza for her birthday. Destiny also invited her cousin Jaden. The girls had a blast! They ate till there bellies almost bursted! They played many games together and almost got sick on the Twister ride, and bumped each other on the bumpers! At the end the girls got blow up swords at the prize booth to have sword fights.
