Bowling

We spent Valentine’s Day bowling with friends of ours – Lisa, Chris and their son Andrew. None of us are all that great at bowling and some of us (me) are quite terrible at it. I decided to commander assistance in the form of a plastic dragon luge that sends your ball down the lanes at speeds approaching 1 mile an hour.

Everyone had fun trying it out, but since we wanted to actually finish a game, most opted for a more traditionally swing. Jasmine ended up doing quite well, finishing in the top three in all of the games. Bumpers are a girl’s best friend.

By the way, Sunset Lanes has some pretty amazing french fries and tater tots. More than enough reason to spend a nice afternoon with good friends.

Red Lobster food experience

This is Jasmine and today it was my job in doing a blog article. I am excited to be sharing my dad and I’s Red Lobster experience. We both had a fun time, my dad got the seafood platter while I got the chicken strips and a ceasar salad. You are probably wondering why I didn’t get any seafood well that’s because I don’t really like the taste of it. My dad on the other hand loves it. In fact he can remove crab leg meat without breaking the actual shell!

I picked the ceasar salad, because I never had it before and I LOVE trying new things. As an example during the meal I asked my dad if I could try something off of his plate. But I didn’t really like any of it especially the lobster. It was a rather dull in taste! So I guess I’ll never grow to enjoy sea food :(!

Drama Club

At Middle School I (Jasmine) joined their thespian drama club. Which meets Mondays, occasional Tuesdays, and on Fridays. To practice our skills we do skits such as the Little Mermaid, Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare and Dr Seuss plays. During the time there in thespian drama I met some new friends. There names were Tristan, Mr Dery, Rowan, Yasmin, Cloe, and Kat.

Valentine Dance

This Valentines my Middle School had a dance. To be more precise a Valentines dance. It was the second dance I’ve been to this whole school year. Unless you count the 1 hr long all school parties. At the Valentines dance my friends and I boogied to music, took a photo at the photo booth, and drank soda and ate a lot of candy. We also watched the girls and guys compete in a dance off. And of course the girls won, cause what can I say girls just know how to groove.

At the snack bar I managed to grab a Pepsi and Root Beer to drink and a Hershey bar and a bag of skittles to munch on. Of course the sugar made me a little hyper so my friends and I went to the dance floor to put our moves to the test. The songs that were on were Teach Me How To Dougie, some oldies from popular movies, and new songs that are very popular such as Uptown Funk by Bruno mars.

Food Adventure: Fish & Chips

In the wilds of Portland can be found a blue police telephone box. We heard from friends of a peculiar restaurant, one filled with Dr. Who memorabilia and serving authentic English fish and chips.

Jasmine and I tried it out today. Dr. Who was playing on the tv in the main dinning hall. Kill Bill was playing in the lobby. And an awesome 80s soundtrack was playing throughout.

The fried fish was the best I’ve ever had.

Jasmine got chicken fingers and tots – both were great.

We’re both ready to go there again. (Jasmine strangely enjoyed the 80s beats and watching Dr. Who.)
