We went to the Oregon Renaissance Festival of Hillsboro but I ended watching much of the adjacent 2015 Oregon International Air Show. It was a surreal event watching the medieval falconry show in the foreground while the F-22 Raptor did maneuvers above.
The food highlight of this outing was the frozen chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick. The close runner-up was the orange sherbert presented in a hollowed out orange. Both were refreshing on a hot day (well hot for Oregon anyway).
It was just too bright out for our cat Little Man. Too bad he doesn’t like to wear sunglasses.
We had an tabletop gaming get-together. We played zombie dice, apples-to-apples, and a train route building game.
There were also amble goodies to snack on.
Jasmine and I enjoyed this year’s Beaverton parade. She brought home a bag full of giveaway goodies – candy, beef jerky, pencils, and a book. (Well, the jerky didn’t make it home – we devoured it on-site.)
Jasmine started Middle School this week. Along with changing classes, taking the bus and meeting new teachers – she also gets a locker.
