Food Adventure – Ethiopian cuisine

A couple friends at our book club mentioned they have been going to several great Ethiopian restaurants. And the culture dictates you eat with your hands. I was intrigued.

So we scheduled our calendars for our Ethiopian food adventure. I got the beef combo, Emily got the vegetarian combo, and Jasmine got a caesar salad. Adventurous Jasmine tried my dish and claimed she didn’t like it. She tried it so many times that she practically ate half my entree – but somehow in kid terms that translates to not liking it. Right.

I think the most unique aspect of the cuisine is the bread. It appears light and airy, but is quite dense. It is one of those mysterious food groups that you go from hungry to overfull instantly.

We enjoyed the presentation and flavors of the meal. Although, Jasmine’s favorite was the the dessert of cheesecake and icecream.
