Mother’s Day 2013

You know how you wake up in the morning and it takes you awhile to realize that it’s not a regular day? So I wandered down the stairs and Jasmine and Jeff were already up and waching TV. And Jasmine says in a nonchalant way “Something’s in the kitchen for you.”

And then I remembered that it was Mother’s Day. She had made me breakfast. I especially liked the rosemary garnish. She learned that from when she was helping Jeff make a roast chicken. It was an interesting flavor when added to apples and oranges. She also made me a handmade card which of course are the best.

Fishing Around

My past work place, Columbia Springs, had their annual Kids Fishing Festival. We got there early so there was no wait this year. (Last year was an hour in line). Jasmine went right up and caught her first fish instantly. It was a nice big juicy one. I was so proud she threw it back. But the second one she kept.

The weather was great, but really really windy. I got a chance to catch up with my former co-workers, we got fresh grilled burgers for lunch. (Meat and veggie!) And Jasmine got a tee-shirt to take home. Everyone had a great time. Except the fish.
