Zoo Critters
Perfect Oregon weather demands a trip to the zoo. I took Jasmine and friend Grace to visit the bears, eagles, elephants and all the other amazing critters. The stereotypical wrestling bears encounter was quite entertaining as you can see in the video. We also witnessed a polar bear playing in the water tossing around a big ball like a professional volleyball or waterpolo player. I also got a video of the girls doing some drumming.
Ella’s First Communion
We went to our friend Ella’s first communion this morning. The kids were well dressed in gowns and suites. After mass, Jasmine and I had a tickle fight.
Jefferson Dances Spring 2012
I took Jasmine and Grace to our the annual Jefferson Dancers show. Modern, ballet, tap, tribal, and tap styles were showcased. The girls liked the hip-pop routine the best. We practically had the upper balcony to ourselves, so the girls could run around a bit during intermission.
Gone Fishing
A nice feature of Emily’s job is their annual kid fishing event. We took Jasmine and her friend Grace for some farm raised trout fishing. This was Jasmine’s first time wrangling and I think she enjoyed it. I cooked up the fish later that night – she didn’t enjoy that. I didn’t like it overly much as well. I found out later, the strong flavor was due to a diet including fish protein. Soylent green anyone.
