Iceskating

There is an ice skating rink next a movie theater we frequent and Jasmine mentioned more than once a desire to go skate. She informed us that she knew how to skate since she went on a field trip to a rink once.

So, mommy agreed to go ice skating. It had only been 10 years since I put on a pair of skates. The pictures tell the story. And I only fell once when I made the mistake of holding Jasmine’s hand and she took me down hard.

School Craft Night

So I got home from work and noticed a flyer on the kitchen table – “School Arts and Crafts night”. And of course the date was today and the start time was in 15 minutes. Jasmine was like – “Oh yeah, there is an art thing tonight at school, can we go?” So I went through my mental checklist of excuses – tired, hungry, etc. Instead I said “Lets go.”

It was a low turn out, which meant it was pleasantly quiet. First we ate a variety of cookies along with a cup of apple juice. Then we played a couple games in one of the rooms – including my childhood fav – connect four. In another room Jasmine made a bookmark and worked on a biography booklet. After an hour, we headed home where I made a quick dinner of fried eggs with sliced tomatoes.
