Thanksgiving Vacation: Trains

Thanks to Emily’s expert web searching, we discovered a local Maryland dairy with a special holiday train experience – in miniature. So many cute trains and intricate towns all decked out in holiday cheer was quite a site. They also had 3D glasses which made lights turn into different shapes from stars to bells. Very cool.

We ended our trip with scoops of homemade ice cream. Jasmine had chocolate which as usual ended up all over her face, hands, and jacket. Lucky for us, Grandma Carolyn got her cleaned up.

Thanksgiving Vacation: Maryland

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday on the East Coast this year. We stayed the first part of the week at Grandma Carolyn’s (Emily’s mom). Grandma gave us a tour of her new digs. It has beautiful views including a scenic pond, but our favorite feature is the fireplace which turns on and off using a remote control.

And because we can’t go a week without getting books, we headed to the local library which so happens to be where Uncle John works (Emily’s brother). John quickly snapped Jasmine up to help put on a kids program, while Emily and I relaxed in some comfy chairs.

Mother Daughter at Work

Jasmine has been asking, rather begging, me to take her to work for months. One Friday she had off from school, and Jeff was working a half day, so with the stars aligned we made plans.

Jasmine dressed up like mommy. I wore purple so we could match. Jasmine carryied my purse and coffee to the car. Everyone at work was happy to see her. Many had not met her yet. She was quite the little lady. She spent most of the morning playing games on my computer. Jeff came at noon to pick her up and we all had lunch together.
